Unidentified Flying Object
Are we the only ones out here in this big ol' infinite existence of space? That is the question that has been on the minds of people since the early 20th century. In fact, it has been in question for much longer but the most widespread reporting began around the early half of 1900's. There have been astronomical reporting of sightings, pictures, videos, claimed abductions; basically, you name and its been reported one way or the other. The mass media frenzy has resulted in many Hollywood blockbusters and B-rated Bollywood films as well.
With all of the hype and theories that surround the presence of UFOs (Unidentified flying objects) or space aliens the true question remains unanswered, are we alone? The government has been more than determined to cover up any information related to the appearances, but with the secrets there is also an element of truth revealed. It is a known fact that all major countries have a division or department created for the purpose of collecting data and investigating reported sightings. So I ask this, if they believed there was nothing to investigate why would so much time and money be investigated in this projects?
Another thing that has been on my mind is how so many people can be closed minded and believe themselves to be superior and think that this planet which is covered with millions of types of species could be the only one in the universe. We have species on Earth that withstand extreme conditions and climates so how could they believe that it is not possible for evolution to have the same effect on species on other planets.
Now I am not saying that because life more than likely exists in this galaxy or any other that they are super intelligent beings, I'm not even saying that they have visited our own little rock. I see photos of huge satellites trying to "contact" other being using radio frequencies, and I think to myself "how do you know they even have the technology to transmit?". We cannot assume that the universe evolves at the same technological speed that we do. That would be like saying, I am waiting for so and so to send a friend request on Facebook from a third world country. I would be making an assumption that so and so has Internet access and knows how to use Facebook. Weird analogy but direct.
I hope that in my lifetime further evidence of extraterrestrial life is found but if it's not I will doubt that somewhere out there it does it exist. We are only a micro-sized piece in an enormous puzzle and to believe that life creation is only capable of being reproduced on Earth is a great example of humans ability to use a small portion of their thinking capacity.
